FocusBible ("the app", "we") is built around a simple principle: your spiritual practice is private. We designed the app to work without collecting your personal data. This policy explains what that means.

What we don't collect

FocusBible has no account or login. We do not collect your name, contacts, location, or browsing activity, and we do not sell or share personal data with data brokers or advertisers.

Voice & speech recognition

To verify you've read a passage aloud, FocusBible uses on-device speech recognition. Audio is processed on your iPhone to match the words you speak. We do not record, store, or transmit your voice. Microphone access is used only during an active reading session.

Screen Time & app selection

If you enable app blocking, FocusBible uses Apple's Family Controls framework with your explicit authorization. The apps you choose to shield are stored only on your device. We never receive your app-usage data; usage data obtained through Family Controls is used solely to provide the blocking feature on your own device and is never shared.

Subscriptions

Purchases of FocusBible Pro are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat, our subscription provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase/receipt information to manage your entitlement. It does not receive your name or contacts. Bible content

The full World English Bible (public domain) is bundled in the app and read offline. No network request is made to fetch scripture.

Children

FocusBible is rated for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. It contains no ads and no third-party tracking.

We may update this policy as the app evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page.
